Kristina + Josh Part One

In March I get the very exciting honor of travelling to Seattle, Washington to be a part of Kristina and Josh’s big day. About a year ago I received the email from a newly engaged Kristina asking me if I was free to plan and able to travel out west for their wedding. After a quick and very excited YES! and a few phone calls back and forth it was official. And let me say this; this wedding is going to be downright beautiful and so truly meaningful. This past summer I flew out to Seattle for a few days to get some wedding prep done like a venue visit, a cake tasting, and the most fun of all, I was able to style the couple’s engagement sessions and create a bouquet mock up for the very beautiful bride to be. It was all just a little teaser of what’s to come next year.

Today is Kristina’s birthday and I wanted to share some of my favorite photographs from the couple’s session in honor of her. Kristina and Josh are high school sweethearts and I cannot wait to watch them become husband and wife on March 7th. I’ll be breaking their engagement session into two posts because there are truly so many amazing moments captured by the one and only Marissa Maharaj. Happy Birthday, Kristina! The best is yet to come and I hope you get to celebrate this special day with your soon to be hubby :)

We started the session out in Kristina’s sweet little apartment, where Josh will be moving into once they are married. Her decor is a little Anthropologie meets West Elm and I must say she is a girl after my own heart. There are so many sweet touches in her place but my favorite was a printed out piece of paper in her room with the words along the lines of,”Verses to Pray for Your Husband Over.” Kristina and Josh have a faith based relationship and really respect one another. You can see it in their mannerisms with one another too.

And this is Henry the couple’s bulldog! Henry will serve as the couple’s ring bearer at the main event. From what Kristina has told me, Henry even has a bow tie to wear down the aisle. Sara and Austin from my recent Texas wedding also had a bulldog ring bearer! I think I have a very specific type of client don’t you think? :)

Kristina’s ring is absolutely stunning. I love how it’s the focus in this black and white image.

Coming up later this week you’ll see the photos of the couple at a local park and with some pretty HGE blooms!

Happy Tuesday, friends xoxo
