Some of my most favorite weddings have had multiple consistencies. Common threads, if you will.

A small and intimate guest list. A beautiful location, thoughtful surroundings, just the perfect weather forecast. A couple with complete and full trust in their team of professionals to execute a beautiful final product. Joy. Love. And laughter. It’s really a collision of perfection when an event comes together as beautifully as it did at Jaimie and Spencer’s wedding. I can’t imagine how I’d feel about the work under my belt this far into my career, if this particular celebration weren’t a part of it. And there have been hundreds of soirees thus far so truly, this is saying so much.

A few noteworthy details I want to highlight because they are worth remembering: an autumnal color palette that mirrored the sweet finale of Michigan’s fall, breaktaking views of the city from the top of The Amway Plaza Hotel at MDRD, and most specifically, a bride and mother of the bride who gave us full confidence to bring unique and stunning floral concepts to life. Petite pin-frog arrangement color blocked atop each table. Heuchera leaves! Let me tell you how sourcing local Michigan flowers and foliage is especially a treat in October when there are so many varieties that start to varigate and turn the most splendid colors. A special thanks to the wonderful women and men at Creekside Growers who helped our team source more than 35 different varieties of product to bring this layered, textural, and autumnal aesthetic to life!
