Yesterday this little pretty of a shoot was featured on Style Me Pretty. Oh how sweet it is right? Last winter when I spied these gorgeous vintage pink tumblers in my Mom’s kitchen cabinet, instantly I was inspired to design an entire editorial shoot around them. Using the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday as another source of inspiration I rounded up an incredible team of vendors and together we made magic happen. Beth Kaye from Elizabeth in Love was hands down a pivotal part to making this shoot such a success, I mean look at these gorgeous photos! This shoot is everything I aspire to make Hey Gorgeous Events be all about; feminine touches, clever details and a finished product that represents my brand to a T. So let’s start with Jody my sweet friend who could obviously pass as a model herself :)
I think it’s so important to infuse attainable and steal-worthy ideas into each shoot I design so that other brides to be can incorporate them into their big day too. You’ll see details throughout this specific shoot that do just that. A simple drink station with a signature drink name paying homage to the holiday, a stand alone but stand out display for the cake to sit on and favors that guests are sure to appreciate and love. I’m a complete sucker for Valentine’s Day (consumerism included) so it was tons of fun coming up for the fun details seen throughout all of these photos!
I love the space at the Art Gallery of Hamilton. It’s where this wedding took place too!
Some more details!
And our Love Potion #9 signature drink station complete with the tumblers that inspired it all!
I’ve always loved the idea of incorporating table numbers into a self serve drink at each table. So for this shoot, I filled IKEA latch top bottles with the signature drink and fastened a table number to it that matched the rest of the paper products. Wouldn’t this be so much fun to do on a large scale with say lemon infused water or rosemary lemonade?
And a few more details!
Last but not least is my favorite detail of all time; the cake table. I loved everything about this set up from the Anthropologie mugs spelling out LOVE (used here too!) and the large vintage frame behind the table, to the gorgeous pink cake and the vintage white console table. It was such a sweet vignette to the shoot and I’m so glad I was able to get that table and frame for the occasion. I think all cake tables should be styled with a little extra pizazz, don’t you?
For the full list of incredible vendors who were a part of this shoot see below! And make sure you check out the full feature on Style Me Pretty for more photos from the shoot. Be full of love, today and always blogettes xoxo
